FCMappers is a community or better a network of scientists interested in fuzzy cognitive mapping and its connection to network analysis and systems modelling. Our aim is to create a platform to share experience and information about fuzzy cognitive mapping. Beside this we, especially the two founders, are interested in further developing FCMapper, the first available free software for the analysis and visualisation of fuzzy cognitive maps.
The more nodes we have in our network the more information we can share and the more stable it will become. This whole process is a feedback-loop, but we need some kind of "critical mass" that the chain reaction will start.
At the moment we are a hand full of very motivated scientists and we welcome everyone who is interested in fuzzy cognitive mapping. It is not relevant being a scientist to join our network, because another aim of FCMappers is to bring out fuzzy cognitive mapping to public.
What has already been done?
We have already developed a software-tool, the Fuzzy Cognitve Mapper (FCMapper) and started to produce video-tutorials that will support you in getting into fuzzy cognitive mapping. FCMapper is still under development and we hope that we can make it as intuitive as possible, but we need your help as testers to evaluate the FCMapper.
